I don't come here often but when I do my taste buds are always satisfied to the fullest... That being said I have to admit that every time I visit, I order the same thing... A bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel! Its been awhile but as soon as I sunk my teeth into the first bite I remembered why I like Brooklyn bagel so much. The reason for giving only 4 out of 5 stars is that it is not any place that will blow your mind... Walking, order your sandwich sit down, eat and leave. The place is not particularly clean nor particularly dirty... But my oh my the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel is awesome!

Excellent place to get bagels in the morning. I am not sure about the 'Brooklynized' water filtration system they have in place, or what they define 'Brooklynized' as, but they have pretty damn good bagels regardless. It can be very busy on the weekends, so it's one of the worst-kept secrets in Delray, but they get you through pretty quickly. One day I'll have to try a breakfast sandwich! I'll definitely be back here again.

Everything here is perfect other than the long lines on weekends. Really great bagels! The black and white cookies are better here than anywhere else because they are always fresh out of the oven. Other places sell those cookies for several days after baking.

I stop in this Brooklyn Water Bagels location every once in a while when I am in Delray and I always enjoy the food and I love the iced coffee ($299/3.99). The place is very clean and the servers are always very friendly. Today when I walked in for a late lunch, the line was so long that I almost walked out. I gave it a shot though, and I was glad I did. The line moved very fast and in less than ten minutes I was at the counter. What impressed me more was that after giving my order, my hot sandwich was at the table in about 2 minutes, less time than it took to prepare my precious iced coffee. Now I am an iced coffee lover and the iced coffee here is a special treat for me. Making my glass is a process, albeit a fun one! I love the ice cubes made of coffee. That makes sure your iced coffee doesn't get all watery when the ice melts. Also, the coffee cubes give your coffee an even richer flavor. Decisions, decisions.....First, there are several flavors of iced coffee to choose from. There are also several milks and flavored creamers. Should I use a flavored creamer today such as French vanilla or hazelnut and sweeten my coffee with one shot? Or use cream and simple syrup or be decadent and add some U-Bet chocolate syrup? What I actually usually do is have a bit if everything! The menu is fairly simple and much more limited than I remember: Egg Sandwiches ($3.99-$499), "Bagelwiches" ($6.29-$7.49) which have mostly salad fillings (egg, chicken, tuna, whitefish) , as well as ham or turkey & cheese. There are also five "Signature Sandwiches", named after the NY boroughs. I had the "Staten Island" ($4.99) today, basically a veggie egg white omelet on a scooped out bagel. The eggs could have used a bit more seasoning but hey, the place is in Delray and many of the customers were seniors. I'm sure they are very cautious about salt input! Of course the most expensive sandwich is the "Manhattan" ($8.49), which is your basic bagel & nova. I was slightly tempted by "Da Bronx" : hot ham, turkey, melted Swiss on a tortilla, but being at a bagel place and not a Mexican place, I thought I should go for the bagel and not the tortilla. Speaking of bagels, these bagels get my seal of approval. Being from NYC, I cannot stand some of these dough balls some establishments down here call bagels. Are they on par with NY bagels? I find the Brooklyn Water Bagels to be a bit crispier and less chewy than NY bagels, but they are still fantastic! Bagels are $10.98 for a bakers dozen. They have plain, scallion, low-fat, nova, veggie cream cheeses, as well as butter and peanut butter to top them off. Brooklyn Water Bagels also has some yummy sweets, including huge muffins ($2.49) and one of my favorites, the huge Black & White Cookie ($2.49). Not only do they have Black & White cookies, they have something I have never seen before, huge Black & White Muffins-sinful! As Britt said in her review, this is not a place to go for the best "traditional Jewish appetizing" i.e really good nova, whitefish salad. However it is a great place for a quick bagel sandwich lunch and the most awesome iced coffee in town.

Daaaaaaaaaamn. Why don't I live near this piece of perfection?? Ok, so the bagels. Whoa. I could eat an asiago bagel every day of my life, and I would be just fine. The sandwiches are huge -- I can only eat half. The pricing? On par with everyone else, but the quality and quantity are beyond compare. The coffee: very nice, bold flavor, even with the decaf! Ice cubes? Oh yeah, they're made of coffee so you don't get a sad cup of watered down coffee water in a hour. The service is great -- they made my sandwich on the wrong bagel, and I didn't want them to remake it, as I had already eaten half, so they gave me a free bagel. Very friendly indeed. Sometimes they're busy and don't quite hear what you're asking well, but if you speak up and repeat, all is well. Have patience and they will deliver!

Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. is a bit gimmicky in their approach. Water from Brooklyn! Celebrities names from Brooklyn written on the walls! Watch us make bagels through a viewing window! Cutesy bagel sandwich names! I prefer mom and pop shops that make delicious bagels without the pomp and circumstance but hey, that is me. This place was mobbed for breakfast. The prices on the bagel sandwiches are pretty outrageous. The eggs are clearly microwaved into rubbery submission. The bialys are really just flatter bagels. No cucumber for your tomato and cream cheese sandwiches. But they properly seed their Everything and the iced coffee cubes are a useful gimmick. Also, egg creams on tap! That said, the price, the slower service, the mobs of people. the subpar bialys, you can do better.

Love the Ice Coffee and Iced Tea. Grilled Chicken and Tuna sandwiches are terrific. Love the a Eggs and the muffins are amazing. Try the Apple Cinnamon......yummy. Worth the wait. Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. Worth trying. I keep coming back. JG

"There must be something in the water" This delray location is great. Full of senior citizens on a weekday. Not surprisingly since most are from northeast. I am not a fan of the ice coffee due to the ice coffee cubes. However, I may be the only one. It's little over priced for the ice coffee. The bagels are amazing. It's a Larry king sponsored. Watching employees bake the bagels from scratch front of me is awesome. I been here few times, it's better than the Boynton location. The location is very busy especially on the weekend, talking 20 min wait. I ordered my usual 2 Manhattans, sounds excessive but they are delicious. Smoked salmon with cream cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on a everything bagel toasted.

The bagels are better than Einstein's but definitely not better than any of the non-chain bagel places in town. Basically, it's an overpriced fast food bagel. The facilities are relatively clean, but very junky and fast food like. For the money, there are MUCH better places minutes away (bagleworks, for example). Also you can't order off menu and expect them to get it right.

If you come here on a Saturday or Sunday morning, the place will always have a line to the door or out-the-door. This happens because there is no secret to Delray Beach that this place has an amazing selection of the most delicious bagels. Each time that I went, the place was busy. However, the line moves quickly. I always just get half a dozen bagels for the rest of the week too. They stay fresh for a few days following. Seriously, I just love this place for my bagel fix.

  • Alize C.

We used to love this place! Quality had gone down too much. Service was lacking, got order wrong and didn't handle the situation poorly when I asked for my correct items. The good quality has gone down as well. I wonder what happened???

  • Jeff B.

Good food, good bagels. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic. Bagels definitely come close to those of NYC. Service took a bit long for a bagel place. Would come here again for the iced coffee - it comes with ice coffee cubes so the coffee doesn't get watered down.

  • Daniel K.

These are the BEST bagels I have had in FLORIDA ! We drive up to Delray just to get a dozen at a time and freeze them. I cannot comment on the food or the coffee just the BAGELS

Really good bagels and fast delivery !!' I recommend this place if you want good bagels

  • Eugene O.

I am originally from Brooklyn, so when I found out about this place, naturally I had to go, try the food and coffee and right away criticize the place how there is no way this is going to taste like its just like in Brooklyn. Well, to my disappointment and surprise the bagels were absolutely amazing, and the coffee was totally out of this world. I am still dreaming about it sitting in NYC buried under 20 feet of snow. If you are in the area, make it your priority to visit and grab breakfast from this joint! You will be glad you did.

  • Lucia D.

The water does not taste like brooklyn water. Bagels are not like a brooklyn bagel but we like them anyway. I do not care for the egg sandwiches. I come here often. I recommend the bialys with any nova or ANY spreads. Tuna is good. Kids like the muffins heated with butter. They have coffee ice cubes!! That's a plus.

I found the best pumpernickel bagel that complemented my eggs. The Cubsta is outstanding

Living in South Florida from most of my life I never understood what it was about New York bagels that everyone would talk about. He then well in New York I finally had a New York bagel. No joke best bagel I have ever had in my entire life. Coming back to South Florida I wanted to find a bagel as good as those in New York. Obviously I'm going to go to a place called Brooklyn water bagels. They lived up to their northern charm.... Including the service, which has a New York attitude, and I love it!! They have a wide selection of bagels. The crust is hard but the center is supersoft. The cream cheeses are amazing. Go for the scallion cream cheese. It's cream cheese with just chopped scallions. That's it. But it is so good. And go a little crazy and get a pumpernickel bagel. They have so many other things as well that I am dying to try. Such as their iced coffee with coffee ice cubes. Also want to try their lox. Definitely going back!!!!

The bagels are really good. Don't waste your appetite getting anything else and the service is average

Fast service great tasting bagels. The employees are always polite and helpful. Fast service and they are open super early.

    (4)
  • Erin H.

Delicious bagels and I love the iced coffee with coffee ice cubes and the different mix-ins. The downfalls: price is really high for what you get - roughly $9 for a smoked salmon bagel sandwich... If you can catch it when it's not crowded, you are lucky because the line is often to the door. The workers are friendly.

    (4)
  • B T.

The only way to eat these bagels if they are right out of the oven and hot as then they taste great. The problem is when they sit for awhile, are taken from the fridge or heated up after being thawed. They are just too dense and not very good. Their iced coffee is great and the food is good too but somehow their bagels are just too dense.

  • Alan W.

How hard is it to make an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and nova? Took 4 tries here. First got a bagel with veggie cream cheese AND Nova cream cheese. I returned it. Next, I got a bagel with nova- no cream cheese. Then all good but on a plain bagel. Fourth time was the charm. Where do they get their workers? FAIL.

It's all about the water! I step in to get some bagel grub and they got a proprietary water treatment you can view through a glass enclosure while waiting in line. All of their menu items are "Brooklynized" based on the high tech system that is used for the consumers. It's actually pretty neat. The multigrain bagels are delicious and the blueberry muffin I had was huge. Also, you get to make your own coffee and there are plenty to choose from. Hazelnut and Kahlua caramel creme were the ones that brought back home with me. Oh, so so good! They even have flavored ice cubes. An ridiculously excellent concept. I want to go back there over and over again. Soon, very soon :)

My local bagel store in Denver told me that this place was part of his inspiration to open. My first visit was near perfect- my bagel was fresh, and had garlic seasoning on both sides evenly! -no top or bottom, just garlic goodness. My black and white cookie was also tops! I came back recently and the bagel was not nearly as good- seemed old (on a Saturday at 11am), had no seasoning on the bottom and not much on top, no black and white cookies either. It wasn't bad, but certainly not special. I'll have to return one more time.

Yes, I am a big fan of Brooklyn Water Bagels. The bagels are exceptional, the portions on the platters are generous, the service is friendly, and they have coffee ice cubes to go with their delicious ice coffee. The bagels are what bagels are supposed to be---dense, chewy and taste great. The coffee is addicting and with endless refills, you can certainly satisfy that caffeine fix in the morning. The platters here are worth getting as well. If you end up taking a dozen bagels home, they even throw in free freezer bags. Also, they will take orders for bagels and have them ready for pick up, which is essential to avoid the long (but reasonably fast) lines around the High Holy Days. As a side note, I don't really care if they have wifi or not....and don't think that justifies giving this place 1 star. So I am bumping my review by a star. See other review below.

I grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Ames, Iowa in my late 20s. While I think that in many respects Iowa is a better place to live, the one thing I really miss from my days in Brooklyn is the food-- specifically, NY style food items like bagels, knishes and pizza. Fortunately there is now a place in Ames (Joe's Pizza and Pasta) that sells excellent NY-style pizza, but I cannot get really good NY bagels or knishes (for the latter, I occasionally buy 50 of them on mass mail order, thereby leading to complaints by my wife that I am overcrowding the freezer). Since I visit Del Ray Beach once a year or so to visit my elderly mother, and since this part of Florida could legitimately be described as "New York south" (if you close your eyes and just listen to people talk, you'd swear you were in Flatbush), I make it a point to try and eat lots of NY food. I am pleased to report that Brooklyn Water Bagels is the real McCoy. The bagels here are quite large, much bigger than the puny specimens that one can buy in Ames, and they're delicious: just like the ones I used to eat on Kings Highway in Brooklyn. At $1.19 each they are not cheap, but they're worth it, particularly if you are nostalgic for the bagels of your childhood. I made it a point to bring a bunch of rye bagels home with me. Also, in another nod to Brooklyn, the store even sells the wonderful black-and-white cookies that I used to get at bakeries there, too. Well worth a visit if you miss NY food, or, for that matter, even if you've never been there.

The bagels are just alright, cannot compare to Strathmore in Wellington on 441. The muffins are good, & the concept of coffee ice cubes is pretty clever.

  • Kathleen C.

Great place for delicious bagels that are prepared with "brooklynized " water! Great coffee and delicious iced coffee using the ice coffee cubes provided you make your own potion using whatever type of cold coffee you choose and then adding flavored syrups, creamers, and your choice of skim milk, half & half, and milk. Too many choices to mention! The bagelwiches are good with freshly prepared ingredients. You got to love this place!

    (5)
  • Bill S.

The bagels here are well above average, but not the best in town. I have tried the them for breakfast and lunch and was satisfied both times. Parking can sometimes be tight, but spots free up quickly. They really make a big deal about the water here and I am not sure if it helps the bagels, but I can tell you the sodas definitely taste better here and the ice cubes are the best. If you are from Brooklyn of NYC, you will feel right at home and love this place. If you are not, then you will find the theme sorta overbearing, but then again, that is typical for most New Yorkers.

Excellent bagels (Black Russian, Bialy, Egg to name a few) and the vegetable cream cheese is my favorite on a toasted bagel. The Black and white cookie is pretty good too! Really like the Cubsta coffee as well. Can be very busy and at times. I have had trouble getting the specific type of bagels I want but that is usually at peak lunch hours and just before closing. Other than that, great place to go for good bagels and coffee.

Just moved to the area, and since I'm a bit of a bagel-holic (which, of course, you could tell by looking at my delightful muffin-top), I decided to check it out. It didn't disappoint. Great bagels, great assortment of coffees, and not too pricey at all. Will become a regular.

I've been here a million times since I discovered it a year ago. I LOVE to mix my own hot coffe, the iced coffee cubes are genius, the bagels are always good & so is the fresh squeezed orange juice. I don't prefer the egg platters here but my BF & friends love them. Tuna bagelwich is DELISH! I can't say anything bad about this place unless I'm comparing it to another bagel place. It's quick & affordable for this overly expensive south Florida lifestyle.

Great breakfast location. Good bagels, good breakfast sandwiches, plenty of hot or cold coffee options. A lot of seating indoors with a table or two outside. You can also order some basic omelettes.

Went yesterday for lunch. Place is very 'busy' inside. Welcome back Cotter playing on the tv's. Names of celebrities from NY on the walls. As for the food, we thought the bagels were delicious. I had a tuna salad on everything, my wife had the egg salad on everything. We both said how good it was. The guy who took our order at the counter couldn't be bothered (not sure he cracked a smile) but the girl who brought our food was extremely friendly. As for value, I'm not sure. This is a pay at the counter place (not a sit down with waiter). So you don't get pickles on the table like at other bagel joints. You also don't get anything with your sandwich like perhaps a potato pancake like you would at other places. So is $8 worth this sandwich...not sure. But it was good.

After many recommendations, I finally decided to stop in. The place was packed but the line moved quickly. I'm a very tough critic of bagels and pizza, being from NJ, but these bagels were no joke. Wish my sandwich had some more bacon and egg but it was a very good meal. The bagel was great, as was the apple cinnamon muffin. Had my first coffee as well, which I also enjoyed.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it always impresses me. The bagels are huge and fresh. My favoriate is the tuna melt with asiago bagel. It comes with tons of fresh tuna and melty cheese. The cream cheeses rock too. There is a huge array of flavored iced coffees. It's great that the ice cubes are made out of coffee too since the coffee lasts all day and doesn't get watered down. The wait is sort of long though.

I would say there is nothing special about this place. Been there once. I live REALLY close to this place and have never been back since. If you like places like dunkin donuts this place is for you. If you like Starbucks or cafe con leche, bustello or coffee that kicks you into gear this place is not for you. Also the food is meh.

Great products and great service. Iced coffee is the best, it's a must stop at for breakfast while down on vacation !

  • Sireesha R.

Great bagels, beware of an excessive amount of cream cheese though. The orange juice is the best this orange juice snob has ever had. I could just go for that! Love this place. I'm not from NY so I don't have the same level of comparison. It beats a Lenders bagel :)

    (4)
  • Christina S.

Absolutely love this place. Kicks Panera, Einsteins and Starbucks out of the universe. Awesome bagels and cream cheeses. No frowns for toasting. Cold cream cheese on side because I ask. Specialty coffee and espresso in its own little shop attached. Iced coffee with iced coffee cubes. Wowwww

    (5)
  • James H.

If you have the time to order your breakfast a few times and stand in line while the cashiers are screwing up your order than this place is for you. While the bagels are delicious, every time I go there I swear it gets closer to being my last time. The service is absolutely atrocious and they never get your order right.

  • Jamie C.

The bagels are good and I would have been totally happy getting bagels here but Way Beyond Bagels is really good too. So I'm torn. I think it's about preference. I really like a lot of cream cheese on my bagel so I prefer Way Beyond Bagels but my son prefers less cream cheese so he likes Brooklyn Water Bagels. But if the two stores sell different sandwiches. This place has breakfast sandwiches that remind me of NY.

  • Nicole K.

Excellent bagels if you have had really NY bagels before and you miss them go to Brooklyn Water bagels. I didn't read many of the reviews but the people that didn't give this place 5 stars is clueless. I left NYC 10 years ago and only found one other place in South Florida with bagels as good as this place. The only problem is neither are close to me. Anytime I am in the area of a BWB I will stop in to get a Dozen to go. They freeze well of you out them away the same day. They have great ice coffee also. The trick is to use coffee as the ice cubes. Smart thinking. Can't wait for them to open up closer to pompano. We need a good bagel place. Yummy can't wait to go back

I love this place! The bagel and egg sandwiches are awesome and the chocolate chip muffins are to die for!! I ate here every other day while pregnant with my first child! Whenever family visits, I make sure to get them hooked on this place!

The bagels are wonderful!! And I don't eat bagels. No really... ITs that good. THe bacon and egg bagel sandwhich is great. The coffee is out of this world. Be ready to get productive after grabbing a ice coffee!!

After hearing much hype about this place, we decided to try it this morning. The place was busy. A lot of the workers were sitting and eating taking up the entire center high top table. We each ordered a bagel (not toasted) with egg and cheese and 2 cubsta coffees. Needless to say, the bagels were toasted and my husband had to go back up to the counter since our coffees were not on the tray. The food was served hot and tasty, but nothing special. The best part of the meal was that the iced coffee was made with coffee ice cubes. I really liked that! There are always issues when kids run your business. The tables were not cleaned well. The staff basically ignored what we ordered. There were adults in the bagel baking area, but no apparent supervision to all these teenage workers that were kind of just wandering around. As far as the Brooklynized water goes...so what do they do...add a little Brooklyn schmutz to the water? I know they have a special process (and there's even a family centric law suit going on) but truth be told, I did not taste a difference (even in the coffee).

I wish I could find a closer place to get breakfast. Unfortunately, this place has the best bagels and coffee. Talia and her crew are efficient and quick, given the crowds of folks they serve. I'm not from NY, but after eating at this place, other bagel places are just a joke.

First I must say... I love their bagels and we eat them all the time... always have them in the freezer and they truly are the best in the area. This morning with just 6 people in front of me I waited 25 min to get served a coffee, 6 bagels and 1 untoasted bagel with cream cheese. It was so poorly run that all the people in line were complaining... and so was the counter staff that no one would jump in and help. By no one I mean the manager BRANDON... I mentioned to him" do you know how long it took to get served" his smart as answer made me and an number of employees and guests really pissed off. When I said you should jump in and help he informed me that he was making coffee while polishing the counter for a clean coffee station. This is not a manager... he moved like a turtle and there was zero sense of urgency for the customers on their way to work. This is why they receive one star and my promise to find some where else for my am stop.... Hey Brandon... I do not have 30 min in the am to watch you make coffee and ignore the customers. I hope the corp office takes notice or reviews the CCTV video and sees who they have in charge before it is too late

Excellent coffee. Excellent bagels. The ultra-purified water is what makes the difference. The service is above average, as the staff appear to be trained at being courteous and helpful. We buy a pound of their ground coffee that they call Hannah Banana every couple of weeks. It's roasted and ground right on premises. It is really excellent coffee! Prices are higher than fast food, maybe even a little higher than an Einstein, although I've never actually compared prices. Odd hours. I think they close for the day at 4:00 p.m. They're usually pretty crowded. Getting a parking space can be a challenge.

Great coffee and the best bagels from here to New York. There can be a line but it's worth it. Fresh bagels and delicious iced coffee every time I go. It's a franchise but I believe this is the home store.

The best bagels in South Florida!!!! I especially like this location vs. the one in Boynton Beach. The staff is always friendly and the bagels always seem to be fresh! And it is also a much bigger and better organized location. The only downside is the parking lot! But nothing is perfect in this world.

Being I am a Jewish girl from New York, I am extremely picky about bagels. With that being said, I will say that these bagels are very good. BUT in my opinion they can not compare to a real NY bagel. The bagel shop is very clean & the girls behind the counter are awesome. They are always super nice even super early on a Sunday morning. They make incredible muffins. My favorite is the corn muffin toasted with butter. My boyfriend loves the "stud muffin". I think it is a grain muffin with lots of healthy things in it. He really enjoys it. My favorite thing at Brooklyn Bagel is their delicious coffee. The ice cubes are frozen cubes of coffee. How cool is that?!? They have several flavors of coffee to chose from and a wide selection of creamers as well. And get this.. they have an "Egg Cream" station. It is complete with Ubet chocolate syrup, seltzer and milk. I have not treated myself to one yet, but it's a great idea to incorporate into the "Brooklyn" experience. Okay, so this is a great bagel place if you are looking for a bagel, cream cheese, awesome muffins etc. This is not a bagel place where I would order Nova, Whitefish Salad or any other Jewish soul food. I have had the tuna salad and it was good and the egg salad looks good too. But if you are looking for a "Jewish Style" bagel place with great appetizing, this is not the place. But for yummy muffins, coffee and an above average bagel I would highly recommend coming here. It seems like everyone I talk to loves these bagels, but like I mentioned early on, I am extremely picky regarding my bagels. :)

#winner: I knew Brooklyn Water Bagel Co was onto something with their coffee when I first started getting bagels there a while ago. They make the ice cubes out of coffee... yes, not water, COFFEE. I know this isn't some high cost innovation but it solves the problem of having your ice melt in our 100 degree summer sauna and watering down the entire coffee. Naturally, they opened "Brooklyn Water Coffee" adjacent to the main entrance of "Brooklyn Water Bagel Co." I also like that they roast the beans right in the store and they have some pretty creative coffee flavors as well. I prefer "cinnergy" which has added cinnamon and more caffeine than the regular blends. Brownie points for originality. A+

Finding this place was like finding an old love! Seriously, i had in NY where I went to college a 7-star bagel place. Went several times a week - loved it. Thought that experience was over when I moved to SoFla - then somebody pointed me to this place. I absolutely positively love everything about this place (who gives a ^()& by the way, if the water is 'authentic' or not?!?) - the bagel sandwiches, the muffins, and the ICED COFFEE! Are you kidding me? Bravo to this place for re-creating an artform - a great bagel / coffee shop. Thank God I do not have to eat Panera and Einstein any longer!

This place was absolutely packed around noon on a saturday. Parking was ridiculous. Not as good as the bagels that actually come out of Brooklyn - I don't really understand their whole water claim but the bagels were pretty good. The veggie cream cheese was delicious.

Hello, I'm in love!! From the moment I read there were coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee I knew I had to check this place out. This morning I drove on over to this fab establishment and walked in super excited. I could hear the guests' New York accents as I walked to the counter and thought to myself that their claim on bagels must be something good. The guy at the counter, Mike, was very helpful. He went through the list of options for the sandwich I chose with me (scooped, reg eggs or egg whites, what cheese/bagel, etc). Got my preferences in and then ordered an iced coffee. He handed me a cup and I walked over to the iced coffee station. Mike met me there to show me their handy dandy coffee ice cube maker and then showed me the different iced coffee selections. Bananas foster flavored coffee?? Seriously?! Sold! No milk OR sugar needed, it is just so good on its own! Got my bagel omelet to go and just finished eating half of it since it was MASSIVE. Next time I will surely get the bagel scooped so I can eat some more, haha. The bagels are superb. Nice firmer texture on the outside and really soft on the inside. I had an everything bagel and it was delish. I grabbed a menu knowing I will return here for breakfast and try a lunch sandwich sometime soon. Until then I will finish sipping on this incredible iced coffee. :)

Iced coffee was great! Love the ice cubes made of coffee!

"Ok" at best. Coffee was average and the bagel was better than a DD bagel, but Still "ok". The egg/bacon sandwich had me wondering what the dealyo is. It didn't look like it was actually fried on a griddle, more like one of those "eggs nuked in a cup with chopped up bacon". I can tell you I never saw anything like that. Was it "good?"....."ok". Trying to franchise so maybe they put the cart in front of the horse? There are other places I'd go to again before here. Thanks Frank

They over-knead the bagels, and the dough isn't that well conditioned to begin with. The result is a doughy lumpy mass that bears no resemblance to a great NYC bagel from an H&H. They treat the water to resemble NYC water, but it's not enough to fix the amateur hour. I watched one guy come out on a visit and rest the wire rack full of bagels on the trash can so he could shift things around on the rack next to him. Yuck! The service is New York brusque at best. Pass.

Came here to do work on my laptop and have lunch. Was told while ordering they don't have wifi but I can pick it up from a surrounding business. Lunch and coffee $10, to sit down and find out they do not have passwords to surrounding business wifi. I would have worked somewhere else if I was told the truth..food and coffee is great, just wish I could work while eating. Now I have to go to Starbucks and buy another coffee so I can work.

We pass this place every day, and after 6 weeks finally decided to give it a try after hearing some chat about it on the radio. Can you spell S-C-R-U-M-P-T-I-O-U-S?! I ordered the Veggie Pizza Melt, while my husband ordered the Mushroom Pizza Melt. He also couldn't resist one of the big pretzels. The bagels are SO GOOD! We were expected a typically little bagel cafe, but this place is a full on restaurant. You order at the counter, and they'll bring your food to your booth/table. The menu is HUMONGOUS, and they even offer breakfast bagel sandwiches and omelets (as other Yelpers have said), and cookies and muffins including Muffin Stuffers which are these yummy looking muffins stuffed with things like rocky road, PB&J, and chocolate. They also offer a variety of gourmet coffees, some flavored, as well as flavored creamers and what appeared to be coffee ice cubes. I'm trying those next time around. I can see this being my bagel/breakfast go-to spot in Delray, and can't wait to go back! Just wish they were open later than 5pm each day, but heck, I can't eat bagels every night anyway. :)

Sorry, not a fan of their bagels.. Don't be fooled to think they bring the water in from Brooklyn. Bagels taste rubbery.. If you are from NY and can appreciate a good bagel, this is not the place to go. Try Bagel City South on SW18th street in Boca Raton, or Bagel with a smear on Federal highway in Boca.

Had heard about this place and was excited to try it. The inside was nice looking and the menu looked great. However once we placed our order it was immediately apparent that there was no system for getting orders fulfilled. We waited 30 minutes for 2 bagels and were not overly impressed with the quality. Thankfully the staff was apologetic and refunded our money, but no manager appeared to be on duty.

Best Bagel place in Florida... If you are from up North you know that its all about the water.. The Bagels, The Pizza, The Chinese and basically anything else you use water to cook with taste better in New York... These Bagels are huge with the right amount of toppings cooked perfect with nice tasty cream cheese... The omelets are ok I think they microwave the eggs thats my only complaint but most bagel joints do... And I really wasn't going there for the Eggs I was going to try the Bagels and I fell in love... I am now a regular at this place...

I stopped in to pick up my usual 2 lbs of CinnErgy Coffee. The manager expeditiously rang up my purchase and had me on my way in no time. The coffee is excellent and the service was superb, once again making it worthwhile to go out of my way to buy my favorite coffee.

I love this place and am hooked on their Cübsta iced coffee. Their bagels, muffins, sandwiches, omelets are fantastic. The staff is awesome with the exception of the one guy who is at the cashiers..he's the only one. Perhaps something is wrong with his facial muscles and he cannot smile and the few times that we got him as our cashier, got our order wrong and couldn't be bothered when we tried to explain our order (HELLO?!! NO CHEESE!!!). So we just avoid him and go to the ladies who are exceptionally wonderful. Place is very clean and prices are affordable. You have to try their new carrot & raisin bran muffin...so moist and tasty. This location has more products than their counterpart in Boynton Beach on Congress..so I've been coming here more often. They will soon be opening a pizza store right next door. I can't wait!!! CAUTION: THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!

I went to the Delray location of Brooklyn Water Bagel this past weekend and the service was really bad. Food is good but pretty standard - you can get the same thing at Panera with better service. I wanted to use the Wi-Fi that BWB offers for customers in order to do some work while I ate. (I have used the wi-fi at other BWB locations with no problem.) I told the girl at the counter when I ordered that was my intent - she was more than happy to let me pay $7 for a bagel and egg but was like "uhh I don't think we have internet but just use your 4G." First of all, what? Sorry I don't have 4G on my laptop, and second of all, yes you do have internet. There is even a long high-top table with plugs designed for laptops. So I figured I would power up the computer and check for myself. Yes there certainly was wi-fi, I could see it show up under my network connections, but it wanted a password (understandably so). So I ask the waitress for the password. She doesn't know and doesn't seem to care. I ask if she can go check with someone (a manager??) and find out. Two minutes later, she comes back and no, no one knows the password. That's that and she walks away. No apology, no offer to help in any way. I turned off the computer and sadly ate my over-priced bagel as quickly as possible so I could leave. If you want to work or browse the internet while you eat, do yourself a favor and choose Panera, Starbucks, Spot Coffee, just about anywhere else.

I am from NY and live 5 minutes from Brooklyn border. I was visiting a friend and really was not expecting a good bagel. I was very surprised! This bagel is better than some of the ones we have here in NY! I cant wait to go back in a few weeks when i'm there again!

First time here. Got bagel with egg, bacon and cheese; pretty good but not great. Make your own egg creams a really good idea. But a blond girl named Victoria acts like a bagel nazi, barking out rudely where to stand in line; at least we got helped by a much nicer server, Corrine.

LOVE BROOKLYN BAGEL!!! YUMMY bagels & muffins!! I had egg whites a couple of times, I enjoyed them, but the bagels were too mushy from the eggs for me) - and they scoop!! The people who work their are GREAT too! BEST part hands down....ICED COFFEE!!! They have coffee ice cubes, instead of regular ice cubes, so it won't get all watered down. They have yummy flavors. Their schpiel is "it is all about the water" - they have 2 tvs going -one is the Honeymooners and the other Welcome Back Kotter -LOVE the Brooklyn pics, names of famous people born in Brooklyn. As someone born/raised in NY and now lives in Cal - it is wonderfully nostologic !!

It's extremely hard to find good bagels or even bread in general in Florida. Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. has machines in which they brew or process or however you call it, their own water for their bagels. They do almost taste like ny/nj bagels! The veggie lover omelette on a bagel was delicous.

How long must one be removed from NYC to forget what a real bagel tastes like? I grew up in NYC and these are not NYC style bagels. First, these bagels just plain suck - bread with a tough crust does not a bagel make. Second, just like good pizza, a good bagel has nothing to do with NYC water. If anything, it has to do with strains of yeast, but mostly it is dependent on the skill and technique of the maker. The only thing good about this place is the marketing concept. Give people something big and play up the NYC water myth and the suckers will bite seems to be working quite well for them. For those of you who have never been to NYC or have never had a good bagel outside NYC, do not dismiss the bagel based on the product they serve at this corporate scam establishment. If you are satisfied and like the bagels here, more power to you, enjoy. I just ask you to reconsider your opinion as you chew through a way too tough outer crust and into what is more like an Italian bread or Mediteranean pita bread interior, neither of which has any discernible flavor. A bagel should have a firm outer crust that gets crisp when toasted but not a tough one, and the interior should be dense with the occasional air pocket, chewy, and a bit doughy but not gummy. The bagels here fail on all of these points. It is easy to see how this is more of a focus group corporate engineered product rather than a true NYC style bagel. I am a restauranteur, executive chef and lifelong home cook who has only recently begun making more than adequate bagels at home this past year. Each time I tweak my recipe, I get closer and closer to a true NYC style bagel. It simply is not that hard. I encourage all of you to try it at home yourselves. It may take a few batches and some adjustments, but with some patience and persistence the mystique of the NYC bagel and the water myth associated with it will fade away. Do not buy into this corporate marketing concept. Support your local independent baker or, better yet, bake at home with your family and friends and remember to share what you have with your neighbors who may be in need. Peace out!

I found the bagel to be very good. However, they really cheaped out on the veggie cream cheese spread. Also,, avoid this place when it's busy. Way too long of a wait in line and then again for your food at was really is a bagel and coffee place.

  • Lisa L.

I've always seen this place when I drive by and wanted to check it out. My husband and I decided to stop in one day to see what it was all about. When you walk in, there are photos of New York and Brooklyn everywhere along with Larry King's endorsements. They have tv's that show old shows such as I Love Lucy. If you go in the morning, especially on the weekend, this place is packed. It is counter service, you wait in one line that can stretch to the front door, place your order, they give you a number and you pick a table and wait for your food. They will bring it to you. The bagels are pretty darned good. I have yet to eat one with just cream cheese on it, but I'm sure it is delicious. They have several flavors of coffees and iced coffees as well as the elusive egg cream. Menu is pretty varied and the staff seems friendly enough. Not a bad spot to try out for bagels!

Since my first visit, I have been multiple times. These are my updates Bagels- ehh. Go to Bagels With down the street if you want the best bagels around. The Bagel sandwiches are great at Brookyn though. Coffe- Still amazing, but they 'man' the coffee cubes now. Since originally coming, I've made my own coffee ice cubes and can't rationalize the visit. Tuna- Ok, but really chopped and processed and almost icy cold.

As a dyed-in-the-wool ex-NYer, I can say that, hands down, they have the very best bagels outside NYC you'll ever find. End of story!

Canarsie cooler!!!! is the only way to go. The owner is friendly helpful and will let you sample just about anything. He is the kind of guy that LIVES coffee and it shows in his product.

Great idea & bagels are worth the hike & wait in line at least once in while. There's some good Jewish bagel joints but this is probably the best bagel in Fl..The amount of entertainers on their Brooklyn wall of fame is nuts

We have been living next to it for more than a year and only went there last week....and I gotta admit it that I was really missing something. This is a family place. Lots of nice families. We had atleast 2 other families walk up to us and strike conversations. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The bagels are nice and chewy. I loved it. And the coffee is absolutely fab. Move over SBux. This is the real deal! Will definitely go there again...

Best bagels outside NYC. I want to say that I experienced the BWB before Larry King shilled for them on Conan. But who can blame him? Larry and I both know bagels and BWB has got it covered. I wish they were in Texas. Not yet. But soon I hope. There is something in the NYC water that makes a difference. The best bagel I ever had was in Queens (thanks, Grandma). My dad swore it was the water, and BWB agrees. The bagels are fresh and light. When they are this good cream cheese is just a bonus, not a necessity. They also have some NYC classics like Fox's U-bet. If you don't know that that is, you probably aren't familiar with egg creams either. But I digress. Check it out if you get the chance. And if BWB isn't in your neck of the woods, cross your fingers and hope for the best. Or look into a franchise. It's gold, Jerry. Gold.

First timer.Ordered a plain bagel with lox spread, not toasted. Came toasted. A little thin on the spread, a little to crunchy. Price was reasonable. Very nice looking and friendly, energetic staff. Will go again.

Really amazing bagels and decent coffee. They have a discount for public servants (teachers, firefighters, etc.). Great service, nice location, very clean and tidy. From a chemistry standpoint - the tap water in S Florida is basically liquid rock, it has a pH of 8.0. Water in Brooklyn has a pH closer to 7.0. The pH of the water affects the yeast. Thus - if you neutralize the water (as they do here) you get better bagels. So, its not just a gimmick, there is actual science behind it!

  • Jim B.

The food here is good, if not a tad pricey. Minus one star for the crabby old bitch behind the counter. I almost walked out, but was hungry. Note to the owner: tell your help to lose the "New York attitude".

I am not sure how they do it but they have REAL brooklyn bagels.

  • Tom S.

We had Bagels with Eggs (sandwich so to speak). The bagels were good, but not sure they are worth the price. They charge for everything BWBC, you have to ask to get a cup for some free water! Overall, very pricey, Bagel Twins down the road bakes their bagels fresh and the special is only $1.99 for Eggs, Bagels, Home Fries or Oatmeal. Coffee is $1.60 so for much less you can have a good meal. We'll give them other try, but I'm not sure we will become a regular.

What a gem!!! Okay I really love coffee, if I could be hooked up to and I.V. with coffee in it I would!! Brooklyns has amazing coffee, and their iced coffee concept is brilliant!! They use coffee ice cubes so your coffee never gets watered down!!! And any place that makes pizza bagels ( they call them pizza melts) is A-OK in my book.... For an inexpensive breakfast or lunch in a hurry this place is at the top of my list... It is really nice to have another option over the reg, bucks or dunkins!

  • Dan O.

First off, the bagels are very good, and I will absolutely come back for those. Unfortunately, the rest of my breakfast was disappointing. I had a bacon and cheese omelet, and there were barely any traces of bacon in it. Not cool, but thanks for looking out for my cholesterol, I guess. The home fries were ok, with no real seasoning to speak of. It seems like the food they serve here just isn't a good compliment to the quality bagels. It's mailed in, and that's a shame. With some work, this could be a great breakfast place. I do like the little coffee bean shop attached to the restaurant. Definitely check that out for some delicious fresh-roasted flavors that they will grind up for you on the spot. Overall, I'd recommend a visit, but only for the bagels and coffee bean shop.

Food - good. Coffee - good. Service blows. Every time we go they are painfully slow. Whether's it's busy or not, they find a way to be super slow making the food. And the staff are rude. We will not be going back there again because of this. I'd rather eat a lenders bagel and suffer in silence.

  • TJ K.

Checked out this Larry King-centric chain the other day for lunch. The food basically matches the hype. I ordered a breakfast sandwich....egg, cheese and bacon on a poppy bagel. A nice sized sandwich came out...cheese melted on both halves of the bagel, bacon mixed with a lot of egg and the bagel was very tasty and good...although I wouldn't say great. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Nothing too special about the place except it is BIG. A lot of space, not many customers. I still haven't tried one of their bagels next to another to see if there is a real difference in the taste.

    (3)
  • Justin L.

I find it absolutely hilarious that people think that the water has anything to do with the taste of the bagel... It doesn't. I have run numerous bagel stores in NY and have heard stories of people transporting nyc water to florida. People: its all in how you bake your product. Most places in florida it is costly to get a gas connection so most places resort to electrically baking them which is the first no no for bagels. Thats where many of these places go wrong with their product. If its not baked in a gas oven and its not boiled before being baked then it isnt a bagel.

    (1)
  • David C.

The best bagels in town! They have this patented water process, and they say it's all about the water. It is good water, and it makes the coffee and bagels taste great. I think it's something about purification and then reintroducing minerals. They have an iced coffee station with the ice cubes made out of coffee! No more watering down your drink while they melt. You can even see the guys making the bagels as you wait in line to order. It's not the best dining experience with the plastic plates and knives, but it is great for carry out or to take a dozen bagels home for the week.

    (4)
  • Ted D.

What a delight! This place is a gem. You pay for what you get BUT you get what you pay for. They do indeed manage to create NY quality bagels with a Florida water supply. I had the Nova sandwich and my wife had the whitefish salad sandwich. We endec up splitting them and frankly I don't know which I liked best. High quality ingedients, superior bagels, hefty portions. What's not to like? And the quality of the coffee was like Starbucks if Starbucks was any good. Full bodied flavor without tasting burnt is the hallmark of good coffee in my book and this place has good coffee. Also available the making of egg creams and so much more. Make it a point to stop in if appetizing and the like is your thing. This places puts all others to shame. Will be back! Count on it!

  • joe H.

i would have given it 4 stars except for the false advertising!!! i enjoyed their bagels in beverly hills, and enjoyed there water too. the water they put in those bottles is just purified water, it does not meet the parameters of Brooklyn Tap Water.. i know this because i sent it off to a lab to be broken down along side of brooklyn tap water.. -they have a good bagel, especially for being outside of NYC, but they did not replicate brooklyn water. that is a fact.

    (3)
  • Kaila J.

This has to be one of the best bagel spots outside of the big apple! I enjoyed a Nova, chive cream cheese, everything bagel with tomato and onion. It was huge and I ate it all. The banana fosters ice coffee was wonderful and the coffee ice cubes a nice touch. When your down south florida, its worth a stop!

Just moved here from Brooklyn & so far, this is the closest bagel back to home that I have found down here. Maybe it really is the water? Who knows, but if you are looking for a "real" bagel definitely come here. Einstein's is good, but not even close to a real bagel. I even tried Flakowitz, horrible. Good job Bklyn Water Bagel! You have another fan!

    (5)
  • Sandra C.

This has become a great breakfast find. The bagels are extremely tasty (better then Einstein's & Panera's). The portions are reasonable, and a great selection of coffees (ice or hot). I love the fact that they slice the bagel in half makes it much more easier to eat. I'm looking forward to checking out their lunches some day. I like their table locator so they know where you are sitting.

Okay, so this morning i was hungry for...a bagel. I think we got there just in time because it-got-a-little-crowded after we sat down. Friendly staf. Quick service. Too much to choose from and it all looked very fresh and yummie to me. I ordered, she repeated. Got the wrong bagel. Checked the receipt. My mistake. Obviously i didn't listen (a guy's problem). Bagel was super. First coffee was....not my fav. Threw it out, got a second coffee...much better. You can pour your own coffee. There's a few to choose from. The only thing i need to learn with my slightly 'bigger hands' is eating from a very small bagel-basket. I'll be back for more bagels. I've seen a sign that said 'internet' but i think you need a code. Forgot to ask. I surely recommend this place.

Expensive for a dozen bagels, but absolutely the best in Southern Florida. Huge selection, fantastic breakfasts. Real bagels like they rarely make any more ( high gluten flour and boiling). Nice and crunchy exterior, soft yeasty interior... mmmmm

I went to Brooklyn Water Bagel this morning for a wonderful bagel, and this time I tried their iced coffee. While I am a Dunkin and Starbucks devotee, I actually really enjoyed Brooklyn Water Bagel's iced coffee! I had to make it myself, which I thought I would find annoying, but it was great- I could tailor it exactly to how I wanted it. The ice cubes are coffee flavored, which is AWESOME, so it doesn't get watered down as the cubes melt. The coffee station is great- first you get your ice cubes, then your choice of coffee (I got regular), then you can add a flavored creamer (French vanilla was my choice), then I even added some extra skim milk, and a sugar. My coffee was delicious and I made it exactly how I wanted it!

Best bagels in South Florida!!! Been here several times since it opened. At first, like everyone else, I thought the water boast was a scam, but it's not. Bagels and coffee are the bomb! Closest thing to NY in this neck of the woods. Skip the eggs and other menu items. More of a chain than great deli, but take home a dozen bagels and coffee. The tap water is also filtered and fantastic!

Very clean, helpful / friendly waitstaff, average bagels. I imagine this is what it's like if you open an "Authentic NY Bagel Place" somewhere in the midwest. It's the type of place people in Indiana would go after a tour of Rockefeller Center and feel they've had the ultimate NY morning. It's the equivalent of Bubba Gump's Shrimp in Charleston, SC. Where is the gruff order taker, the grimy black and white photos of the NY skyline and the obligatory homage to the Yankees? You can find that in pick-any-stripmall in PBC. That being said, you must go. Order a bagel, don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. The next part is very important: ORDER AN ICED COFFEE. If your better half doesn't drink coffee make him order one so you can have two. Then buy a t-shirt and send it to your cousin in Indianapolis.

On a recent trip down from New York, I had a chance to try these bagels. While they were out of some flavors, the ones they had were all warm, fresh and very tasty. Of course, the water isn't really from Brooklyn, and in fact, most of NYC has water from the same source (the reservoirs north of the city), so the name is all about promotion, but the bagels are good anyway.

The bagels here are not much better than the one you get at Publix. They make a big show of how they make the bagels as you come in but the final product is just average. If you want a real bagel the only place I have found is the bakery at the Festival market on Sample Road. The bakery is at the end of the building behind the Antiques store near the pickle guy. It is a little hard to find the first time but it is worth it. The bagels are huge crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with a huge amount of toppings such as poppy , onion, sesame. There must be 20 varieties. This place is worth a special trip, buy a dozen and freeze them and they come out perfect from the microwave. By the way after 2 PM and all day Wednesday you get 3 extra bagels if you buy 6, 6 extra bagels if you buy a dozen etc. And the price is less than the Brooklyn Bagel Co. This place is the real McCoy! and almost as good as Ess a Bagel in Manhattan which for the past 20 year has been voted the best bagel in New York. By the way this is a store, not a restaurant so you will have to wait till you get home to experience this heavenly bagel experience..

I'm now a bagel lover! Never saw what the big deal was about bagels, until I tried the Original Brooklyn Water Bagels. Wow, what a difference!! I love the egg salad scooper (add some bacon when I'm ignoring the calories). The Stud Muffins are fantastic - and good for me? Yummy. Everything tastes better because of the water- iced tea, sodas and, of course, the coffee. Top it all off with such a friendly and helpful staff. This place is the best!
